The Next Civil War

In an article from July 25th, 2020, the Washington Examiner highlighted an armed conflict that occurred in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Yes, you read that right, urban combat, in a civilian zone, with non-combatants present. You can read the article here.

I wish I could tell you that this was the end of it, but rather, I think the opposite, this is just the beginning. As groups like ANTIFA and other "militias" move to demonstrate in populated civilian zones, other "militias" will move to stop them. The outcome is as inevitable as the sudden stop after falling off a cliff. Armed conflict in the streets of America. It's simply unbelievable.

This is why, for those of you who don't seem to understand, it is so important that protests stay peaceful and riots not occur. Because violence begets violence, as Dr. King himself noted famously. So attempting to bring about your way by force, will only lead to an escalation of force, not a resolution of peace that brings healing and justice.

Also, it is this kind of outcome that will only lead to INCREASING Federal intervention, not less. Unmarked military vehicles arresting people off of the streets? People being taken in non public areas for officer safety? Freezing of assets and civil forfeitures for those engaging in violence and public disturbance? These will only become MORE common under the raising conditions of violence, not less. Order will be maintained, or it will be imposed.

Now, it should be noted that I have been careful to identify groups in this article. We're not talking about the peaceful protesters. We're not talking about those Black Americans calling for justice which is long overdue and tragically denied. We're talking about participants in violent and revolutionary behavior. You MUST be able to bifurcate the two in your mind. They are not the same.

Here's the thing, for those who fancy themselves "revolutionaries," people forget that almost half of the American population was against the revolution. People forget that many Americans fought for the British, and in fact fled to England when the war was over under the period of open amnesty granted by the king. That's right, they weren't only fighting the king, they were fighting their own countrymen too, today will be no different. There are far more people against this "revolution" this time than will ever be for it.

You think the police are the only ones who are going to stand against a socialistic "revolution" in this country? Think again.

If we don't get things under control, if we don't stop parading violence in the streets, than that is what we will have and it is what we will get. Violence. And once that starts on a large scale, you don't get to put that genie back in the bottle.

Take it from a vet, and from the veteran community. You don't want a war, no matter how much you may think that you do.
